Exciting Opportunity: Are you ready to embark on a journey of professional growth and challenges? We're thrilled to announce an opening for a Welding Engineer with our client in the Wallsend Area. This is a permanent position, offering a stimulating work environment and ample opportunities for advancement.
Position Details: As a Welding Engineer, you'll be part of a dynamic team, working a Dayshift 42-hour week - Monday to Thursday, from 07:00hrs to 16:00hrs, and Friday from 07:00hrs to 15:30hrs.
Qualifications: We're seeking candidates who demonstrate:
• Proven experience in welding and a strong understanding of welding processes, corrosion protection, and related procedures.
• A degree in Welding Engineering or relevant certifications.
• Familiarity with weld repair registers and welder qualification procedures.
• Certification or experience in welding (IWT, IWE, CSWIP, IWI) and NDT methods (VT, MT, PT, UT, PA).
• Knowledge of corrosion protection standards (NACE, Frosio, ICorr) and dimensional control techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and a thorough understanding of QA processes.
Responsibilities: As our Welding Engineer, you'll:
• Establish a robust quality framework for project-specific production, ensuring efficient documentation processes.
• Meet reporting deadlines and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Manage written communications with accuracy.
• Contribute to project management, operational planning, and production processes.
• Directly engage in Quality control, quality assurance, and engineering activities.
