For over 3 decades, we have been dedicated to helping communities and the environment. We believe that supporting charities, local schools and hospitals is an excellent way to make a positive impact on society.
We are extremely proud that in less than 5 years we have reduced our carbon footprint by 60% by digitalising our documents and going paperless.
Diversity and inclusion are the foundation of innovation and creativity, not just practices and policies. Demonstrating respect and appreciating all types of differences helps us find talent regardless of race, colour, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity.
Equality is Quality
Equality and fairness have always been a core element to IRS and we are encouraging equality, and diversity. When every person has the same opportunity, they can make the most of their talents and efforts, and have the same shot at success. This is why we ensure that everyone has the same chance no matter where they come from, the colour of their skin, their sexual orientation or what they believe.
IRS are supporting Members of the Fawcett Society, a charity campaigning for gender equality and women’s rights. With their commitment and passion, the Fawcett Society has a very positive impact on women and our society, now and for future generations.
Inclusion creates a more accepting and supportive workplace for all employees. Employers with good disability inclusion programs can expect higher engagement from all employees. Disability inclusion is crucial to our hiring process, and our organisation operates under the “Two Ticks – Disability Confident Employer” accreditation.
As such, we are committed to ensuring that job adverts, unless there is an essential need otherwise, focus on performance, experience and qualifications of an individual, so as not to exclude any disabled candidates.
At IRS we know that talent is not dependant on sexual orientation or gender identity and understand that being part of the LBGTQ+ community can be very challenging for some due to discrimination, abuse or mental health issues. To help these talents, we support the LGBT Foundation, that offers a wide range of services and help for the community.
Social Value
Community involvement can be one of the most rewarding aspects as contribution can make a powerful difference.
Since IRS was established in 1991, we have been supporting hospitals, schools, charities and fundraising events. We recognise the hard work of some extraordinary charities that supports children and people in need across the UK who have been affected by poverty, abuse, neglect or those who have additional needs or life-limiting illnesses.
Children with Cancer is a charity IRS have been supporting since it was established. As a charity they work in partnership with the NHS and their mission is to see a world where every child and young person survives cancer and to ensure that children with cancer have the best possible chance of survival with access to the best possible care and support, regardless of their economic situation or where they live in the UK.
Mental health is at least as important as physical health. We can all do things to improve our mental health, and prevent problems however, in some cases people need help as they already struggle.
We support Mind, the UK’s leading mental health charity who helps thousands living with mental health issues.
For years, we have been supporting the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, the James Paget Hospital and their Children's Ward. They continually improve quality and patient care and deliver services that are closely integrated with primary, community and social care.
Environment and Sustainability
Sustainability is an increasingly important issue and we understand just how important it is to make changes — both for our business and the planet. To ensure that future generations can survive and thrive in our world, we made actions to reduce our carbon footprint. IRS recognises the importance of environmental protection and is committed to operating its business responsibly and in compliance with all legal requirements.
We are ISO 14001:2008 certified which is an international standard for designing and implementing an environmental management system.
At IRS we ensure that all of our used equipment is recycled by government registered recycling centres or companies only. Also, we are registered at the UK Goverment's Waste Environment Agency.
In the past 5 years we have reduced our carbon footprint with 60% by digitalising our documents and going paperless. Our formal communications are conducted via email/phone instead of posted letter, our invoices are sent via email or made available online without being printed and payments are made online only.
