We are currently resourcing for a Painting Production Planner / Coordinator to work with our clients team.
Location: Wallsend, Tyne and Wear.
Pay Rate:
- £24.50 per hour for the first 38 hours worked and approved.
- £31.85 per hour in excess of 38 hours worked and approved.
- £36.75 per hour for Saturday hours worked and approved.
- £49.00 per hour for Sunday and bank holiday hours worked and approved.
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 6-9 months, with the potential of ongoing.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Painting Production Planner / Coordinator to join our clients team within the renewable energy sector to work on Jackets and Topside Projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with the production line manager to identify and prioritise tasks for the upcoming week.
- Conducting daily toolbox talks with operatives to ensure safety procedures are followed and assigning daily tasks.
- Planning and coordinating equipment moves to new work areas, ensuring all necessary resources are available.
- Submitting weekly requests for consumables, paint, and equipment to align with weekly production planning.
- Performing initial visual quality inspections of completed work before it is handed over to Quality Control (QC) for official inspection.
- Liaising with QC inspectors to ensure the painting subcontractor meets the required standards.
- Supervising and prioritising the work of the coating subcontractor, coordinating with other disciplines to meet project deadlines and milestones.
- Planning workloads and managing manpower levels in line with project requirements.
Basic Requirements:
- Essential: Previous experience supervising fabric maintenance and new build fabrication blasting and coating projects.
- Essential: Knowledge of health and safety procedures related to blasting and coating works.
- Essential: Experience in daily planning and coordination with Quality Control to meet production deadlines.
- Essential: Familiarity with Norsok M501 and relevant ISO standards.
- Essential: Ability to set up and troubleshoot blasting and spray equipment.
- Preferred: Competency in Microsoft Excel for production planning.
- Preferred: Minimum Level 1 coating inspection qualification.
