Are you ready for your next challenge in a dynamic production environment? We are currently resourcing for a Production Assistant to join our client’s team in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear, with opportunities lasting beyond 2025. Potential for a permanent role!
Position: Production Assistant
Location: Wallsend
Type: PermanentSalary: £45,000 per annum (some flexibility for the right candidate)
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the safety and coordination of the production area.
• Plan manpower, time, and plant resources to ensure smooth operations.
• Supervise labour and ensure all trades are cleared from areas ahead of production.
• Coordinate production area activities and plan at least a month in advance.
• Maintain high safety standards throughout the production process.Person Specification:
• Time-served Plater, Plating Supervisor, or General Foreman with experience in heavy steel fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• A team player with a flexible approach and a no-nonsense attitude.
• Able to inspire and lead others, with the potential to grow into a Production Leader.Why Apply?
